Yes. We are a certified dog-friendly hotel and welcome your four-legged friend in rooms with their own balcony or terrace.

In Double Room Garden View, Family Room, Junior Suite Balcony and Junior Suite Terrace – each of these rooms has its own guaranteed balcony or terrace, so the room can be aired out quickly if needed. Dogs currently cannot be booked in the Single Room, Single Room Plus, Double Room Eco Small or Small Double Room, as a balcony is not guaranteed there.

On arrival, you’ll receive a small welcome package at reception: treat samples and a map of local dog-walking routes. Our paw-drying stations at every entrance also offer baskets of clean and used towels for drying paws. Two signposted dog-walking routes start right at the hotel: through the Kurpark (approx. 1.2 km) and along the Warme Bode river (approx. 1.0 km).

Check-in is from 4:00 pm, check-out until 10:00 am. Early check-in from 12:00 pm or late check-out until 2:00 pm is available for a surcharge – just ask us.

Sauna, infrared cabin, relaxation room and fitness area are free of charge for you. Only the steam bath is coin-operated and carries a small fee.

Our exclusive wellness experience for two: from 8:00 to 9:30 pm, the entire wellness area belongs entirely to you – including a bottle of Prosecco.

Once a month, for one week, with daily sessions, led personally by Oliver Page – 25 years as a swimming instructor, formerly one of Bavaria’s largest swim schools. On all other days the pool is freely available to all guests.

Braunlage is conveniently located via the B4 and B27 roads in the Harz. From the Bad Harzburg motorway junction it’s about a 25-minute drive to us.

Very close: you’ll reach the base station in about 10–15 minutes on foot, or a 2-minute drive, from our centrally located hotel.

The Wurmberg, the highest mountain in Lower Saxony and the largest ski area in northern Germany, is right on the doorstep – with a cable car, bike park and a dense network of hiking trails around Braunlage. The ice rink and monster-scooter rental are also close by, and the World Heritage towns of Goslar and Wernigerode are just a short drive away.

Our contribution to the Harz: skip daily room cleaning, and we’ll plant a tree in the region for it.
